J.CO DONUTS and COFFEE: Now in Manila

J.Co Donuts and Coffee, an international brand from Indonesia, has made its way here in Manila last March 15 in their flagship store in SM Megamall's Megastrip B.

With a rolled out red carpet, guests got to experience Hollywood right on its doorstep. Waiters were flying all over the place, serving various donuts carrying unique, celebrity-sounding flavor names like Al Capone, Blueberry More and Heaven Berry, just to name a few.

To satisfy the guests' gastronomic experiences more, models and the hosts entertained them by playing "who represents what". Karylle played the flavor Heaven Berry and Luis Manzano as Al Capone, representing J.Co's best selling variant.

They finished the event with the awarding of The Best Dressed Award, Best Red Carpet Pose, and the J.CO Lover Award (which was based on the stolen photographers of the guests' candid reactions while indulging into the J.CO donuts). I only noted The Best dressed award was given to Miss Rissa Manaquil.

My Recommendations:

Donuts:
Alcapone. J.CO's signature product where white Belgian chocolate meets crunchy Californian almonds. Recipe from Rome, almonds from California, white chocolate from Belgium, brand originally from Indonesia, is now here in the Philippines!

Beverage:
Beat the heat with Caffe Avocado. This unique concoction is perfect for summer with the richness of Italian coffee and smooth avocado with chocolate shavings on top of whip cream.

Yogurt:
J.COOL Fruit base. Mix in any fresh fruits available like mango, kiwi, or strawberry with their fat free yogurt. Known for the 97% less fat and non trans fat, its also healthy and delicious.

My verdict:

I'm really not a sweet-toothed person so I'd give them a thumbs up because their donuts are not as sweet as Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme.

I also fell in love with the Caffe Avocado because that was my first time  to taste coffee blended with avocado. I will surely go back for more, it would be perfect for the coming summer season!

And for their yogurt, I super recommend you try this because it is light and not as sour like the usual yogurts out in the metro -- the taste blends well with the fruits and other toppings. :)
